The Marlin 336 SBL (Model 70905)in .30-30 Winchestercaliber combines the proven technology of the classic Marlin lever-action rifle with modern featuresfor hunting, the shooting range, and the use of contemporary optics. The current generation is manufactured by Rugerand is based on the traditional Marlin 336 systemwith side ejection, a solid steel receiver, and a tubular magazine. The side ejection allows for easy mounting of optics directly above the receiver.

The heart of the rifle is the proven lever-action systemin .30-30 Winchestercaliber. The 19.1-inch (48.5 cm) cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrelfeatures a 5/8"-24 muzzle threadand comes standard with a polished thread protector. The barrel and receiver are made of stainless steeland are designed for high resistance to weather influences.

The 336 SBLhas been prepared for the use of modern optics. A factory-mounted Picatinny railallows for the mounting of scopes, red dot sights, or scout optics.
