General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
This English version is provided for informational purposes only.
The legally binding version of these General Terms and Conditions is the German version.
1. Scope of Application
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts for the delivery of goods concluded via the online shop oktatec.de between Arkonis GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Seller”) and consumers or entrepreneurs (hereinafter referred to as “Customer”).
1.2 A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly are neither attributable to their commercial nor their independent professional activity (§ 13 German Civil Code – BGB).
1.3 An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity who, when concluding a legal transaction, acts in the exercise of their commercial or independent professional activity (§ 14 BGB).
1.4 Deviating, conflicting or supplementary general terms and conditions of the Customer shall not become part of the contract unless their validity is expressly agreed to.
2. Contracting Party, Conclusion of Contract, Correction Options
2.1 The purchase contract is concluded with:

2.2 The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding invitation to submit an order (invitatio ad offerendum).
2.3 The Customer may place products in the shopping cart without obligation and may correct their entries at any time before submitting the order.
2.4 By clicking the order button, the Customer submits a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract.
2.5 The Seller may accept the offer within five (5) calendar days by:
- sending an order confirmation in text form (e.g., by email),
- delivering the goods, or
- confirming receipt of payment or processing the payment via the selected payment service provider.
2.6 For items requiring a firearms or ammunition acquisition permit, a contract shall only be concluded after successful and complete verification of the legally required documentation.
There is no entitlement to conclusion of a contract prior to completion of this verification.
3. Contract Language, Storage of Contract Text
3.1 The contract language is German.
3.2 The contract text is stored by the Seller and transmitted to the Customer in text form together with the order data and these GTC.
3.3 The Customer must ensure that the email address provided is correct and that emails can be received.
4. Subject Matter of the Contract, Product Description
4.1 The relevant characteristics of the goods are determined by the respective product description in the online shop.
4.2 Product images may slightly differ from the actual appearance of the goods.
4.3 Obvious errors (e.g., pricing, typographical or availability errors) entitle the Seller to correction and, where applicable, to withdraw from or contest the contract in accordance with statutory provisions.
5. Prices and Payment Terms (Shopify)
5.1 All prices are total prices including statutory VAT if the offer is addressed to consumers.
If the offer is addressed to entrepreneurs, prices are exclusive of statutory VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
5.2 Shipping costs are displayed separately during the ordering process.
5.3 Payment processing is carried out via the payment methods offered in the online shop. The available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
5.4 The Customer is obliged to provide accurate payment and billing information and to be authorized to use the selected payment method.
6. Delivery Conditions and Collection
6.1 Delivery is made to the delivery address specified by the Customer within the delivery area.
6.2 Freight deliveries are made “curbside” unless expressly agreed otherwise.
6.3 Delivery times are non-binding estimates unless expressly designated as binding. Delivery times for cross-border shipments may be extended due to regulatory, administrative or authority-related procedures.
6.4 If delivery fails for reasons attributable to the Customer (e.g., culpable absence during required identity or age verification), the Customer shall bear the resulting additional costs.
6.5 If offered, collection on site is possible at the Seller’s registered office during the stated business hours.
6.6 If goods are made available for collection, they must be collected within ten (10) calendar days after notification of availability. After expiry of this period without result, the Seller is entitled to withdraw from the contract after setting a reasonable grace period.
7. Special Conditions for Firearms, Ammunition and Firearms-Related Items
7.1 Youth Protection / Age Verification:
For items subject to age restrictions, the Seller ensures through personal identity and age verification that the purchaser has reached the required minimum age. If shipped, the goods will only be handed over after age verification and exclusively to the purchaser personally. Delivery to parcel lockers (Packstation) is excluded.
7.1a Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular the German Weapons Act (WaffG), Explosives Act (SprengG), as well as transport and hazardous goods regulations, shall prevail.
7.2 Permit Requirement:
Weapons and ammunition requiring an acquisition permit are sold and delivered exclusively upon proof of the required firearms authorizations.
7.3 Documentation:
After placing an order, the Seller will inform the Customer which documents must be submitted and in what form (generally scan/photo via email; in individual cases original or officially certified copy). Additionally, a copy of an identity document may be required.
Typical documentation (non-exhaustive):
- Hunters: valid annual hunting license; if applicable, firearms ownership card (WBK)
- Sport shooters: firearms ownership card (green/yellow depending on weapon type)
- Collectors/experts: firearms ownership card; if applicable, ammunition acquisition permit
- Other authorized persons: appropriate official documentation
7.4 Handover:
Handover shall only take place after successful verification of the documents and exclusively to the purchaser.
If special transport conditions apply (e.g., hazardous goods/freight forwarding), the shipping method shall comply with statutory requirements and the capabilities of the commissioned shipping service provider.
7.5 Failure to Provide Documentation:
If documentation is not provided, not provided in due time, or not properly provided, the Seller is entitled to refuse acceptance or withdraw from the contract.
7.6 EU Foreign Countries:
Orders from other EU countries are possible provided all required official import/transfer and export permits are available. Delivery will only take place after complete verification of documentation. Processing time may be extended accordingly. Costs for permits shall be borne by the Customer. The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the acquisition, possession and use of the ordered goods are lawful in the country of destination. The Seller assumes no liability for legal restrictions in the Customer’s country of residence.
8. Right of Withdrawal
8.1 Consumers are generally entitled to the statutory right of withdrawal.
8.2 Details, requirements, exercise and any statutory exclusions or premature expiry of the right of withdrawal are set out in the withdrawal policy, which is made available to the Customer during the ordering process and can be accessed here.
8.3 No voluntary right of withdrawal is granted to entrepreneurs.
9. Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of the Seller until full payment has been made.
With regard to entrepreneurs, retention of title applies until settlement of all claims arising from the business relationship.
10. Transport Damage
10.1 Consumers are requested to report obvious transport damage immediately to the carrier and inform the Seller; statutory claims remain unaffected.
10.2 For entrepreneurs, the risk passes to the carrier upon handover.
11. Warranty
11.1 The statutory liability for defects applies.
11.2 For entrepreneurs, the limitation period for defect claims for new goods is one year. For used goods, defect claims against entrepreneurs may be excluded if expressly stated in the respective offer.
11.3 For consumers, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
11.4 The above provisions do not apply to claims arising from intent, gross negligence, fraudulent concealment, guarantees, injury to life, body or health, or under the Product Liability Act.
12. Liability
12.1 The Seller shall be liable without limitation in cases of intent, gross negligence, under a guarantee, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act.
12.2 In cases of slight negligence involving the breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
12.3 Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent legally permissible.
13. Dispute Resolution
The Seller is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
14. Final Provisions
14.1 German law shall apply to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If the Customer is a consumer residing in another Member State of the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of that Member State remain unaffected.
14.2 For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
For merchants, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law, the place of jurisdiction is the Seller’s registered office.
14.3 Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, the remainder of the contract shall remain valid.
