The Chiappa 1886 Tactical Wildlands T.D.in caliber .45-70 Governmentis a modern interpretation of the legendary 1886 underlever system by John M. Browning, combining classic lever-action technologywith contemporary features. The Take-Down model (T.D.)allows for quick disassembly of the weapon into two main components, making transport and storageeasier.

The heart of the rifle is the robust 1886 underlever system, originally developed for powerful rifle calibersand now one of the most famous lever-action designs. The Wildlands Tactical is chambered in .45-70 Governmentand features an 18.5 inch (470 mm) barrelwith a 5/8"-24 muzzle thread, allowing for the attachment of compatible muzzle devices.

The Wildlands serieshas been further developed by Chiappa with a focus on modern usability. The rifle features a Picatinny rail for mounting optics, as well as Skinner Peep sightscombined with a fiber optic front sight. This equipment allows for the use of both classic sighting systems and modern optics.
