The Marlin 1895 SBLin caliber .45-70 Governmentcombines the proven design of the traditional Marlin lever-action system with modern featuresfor hunting, the shooting range, and the use of contemporary optics. The current generation is manufactured by Rugerand is based on the classic Marlin 1895 systemwith side ejection, a solid steel receiver, and a tubular magazine. The side ejection allows scopes or red dot sights to be mounted directly above the receiver.

The heart of the rifle is the proven lever-action systemin the powerful caliber .45-70 Government. The 19.1-inch (48.5 cm) cold-hammer-forged stainless steel barrelfeatures an 11/16"-24 muzzle threadand comes standard with a polished thread protector. The cold hammer-forging processensures uniform barrel geometry and high manufacturing quality.

The 1895 SBLis factory-prepared for the use of modern optics. An integrated Picatinny railallows for the mounting of scopes, red dot sights, or scout optics. The features are complemented by an adjustable Ghost Ring sightand a fiber optic front sight with a tritium ring, making both the use of open sights and modern optics possible.

The barrel and receiver are made of stainless steel with a polished stainless steel finish. The gray laminated stockcombines a classic lookwith high dimensional stability and resistance to weather conditions. Checkering on the stock and forend supports secure handling. The enlarged Big-Loop leverfacilitates operation, especially when wearing gloves.

The tubular magazine offers a capacity of 6+1 rounds. The weapon features an additional cross-bolt safetyand the classic half-cock notch on the hammer. A spirally fluted and nickel-plated boltcompletes the features of the current Ruger-Marlin generation.
