Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC

The Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CCcombines the rapid target acquisition of a red dot sight with the precision of a variable riflescope. With its 1x to 8x magnification range, it is particularly suitable for short to medium distancesand allows for quick switching between overview and detailed target observation.

A special feature is the CC mode (Close Combat). This enables parallax compensation from as little as 7 meters, supporting close-range use. The red dot is located in the second focal planeand remains the same size regardless of the selected magnification, while the tactical reticle can be used for precise corrections.

The optics offer a wide field of view at low magnification and high detail recognition at 8x magnification. Schmidt & Bender states a transmission of 90%and an optical resolution of eight arc secondsat maximum magnification.

Developed for demanding operational conditions
The PM II ShortDot Dual CC is designed for high mechanical robustness. Schmidt & Bender refers, among other things, to the Five Orientation Drop Test, high shot loads, and an operating temperature range from -46 °C to +63 °C.

Depending on the version, different reticle and turret variantsare available. These include flat adjustment turrets with functions such as MTC (More Tactile Clicks)or ZC (Zero Click). In the configurator, depending on the chosen version, one can also select between Clockwise (CW)and Counterclockwise (CCW) adjustment.

The system has been selected, among others, for the German Bundeswehr's G28 patrol configurationand for the French FPSA program, and according to the manufacturer, it is used by various military and police users.
